Adding tags
There are several ways to add tags to objects. Please note that this article pertains to applying tags manually. Please see the page on Automatic Classification for more information on tags applied automatically by the system.
The Add Tag page can be access through:
- Through the main Tag page
- The object record page
- Through the Browse page
To add tags through the main Tag page, select the objects you want to add tags to and then select the "Add Tags" button.
For more information on accessing the object record page, please see “Viewing the Object Record Page.”
To add tags through the Object Record Page, click on the plus sign button next to the list of tags that this object currently has.
You can also add tags through the Take Actions tab. The link that allows you to add tags appears at the top of lists you can take.
To add tags through the Browse section, you must first select an individual category either of the two Browse tabs. Once you have done this, you will be taken to a page with a list of objects. From this page, there will be a number of action buttons at the tops of the list, of which "Add Tags" is one.
Once you selected one of these options, you will be taken to a page with the controlled vocabularies that have been loaded through Metadata Hopper, divided into tabs by category.
You can search for terms within individual categories by using the filter box at the top of a category.
Select individual tags using the checkboxes. You can select tags from across different categories and Metadata Hopper will remember the tags you selected from previous categories. Once you have selected all the tags you wish to add, select
You will then be taken to a confirmation page that will list the records that you have added along with the tags that were added to those objects.
