Automatic classification

Automatic classification is a feature in Metadata Hopper that assigns tags to your content based on its original metadata upon deposit of that content. The rules for automatic classification are set by your portal manager.

For example, if your original EAD file has the subject term, "Architecture--Chicago" you might have the tags of Chicago and Architecture automatically added to your EAD file upon deposit.

Automatic classification can be turned off for all of your institution’s content by your institution’s local administrator through the Administration section of Metadata Hopper.
